During one of our matches at the last qualifier, our phones went into an update mode and locked up. We decided to disable the update feature on the phones to prevent this from happening in the future.

Steps to disable the update feature on the Moto G4 Play:

  1. Go to Settings->Apps->Installed.
  2. Find the OTAUpdater process, and press the icon.
  3. Press both the “Kill process” and “disable” buttons, and scroll down and uncheck “show notifications” to permanently disable the popups.

This does not work on the Moto G2 without rooting, so we will avoid using them in competitions.
