8565 Pre-season Team Meeting #16 – 7/14/2018

• 7/22 team meeting, chassis meeting and RCX robotics workshop availabilites
• GIGAWOT Camp Lessons Learnt
  • Botzilla competition video needs to be collected Thursday afternoon
  • Team members can not be on cell phones
  • EV3 box needs to have lid secured
  • Verify network throughput for 20 devices (which means at least 2 team members during setup day)
  • EV3 needs to be on the latest firmware with brick name in the setting menu
  • Verify every EV3 Bluetooth connection to Android phone (there was one brick which can’t have Bluetooth connection turned on)
  • tell the girls to not update Android system
  • Need show success message when Bluetooth connected
  • In the morning, verify that we have latest AI companion app on the phone (there might be release between the last time we checked and the day we are giving workshop)
  • Have girls setup the access to MIT app inventor during lunch hour to speed up the process during the session (they need to grant the laptop for access to their google account as a new device)

  • Senior team members: look for/connect to people in companies that we can connect with for reaching up in our outreach
• EV3 Summer Camp preparation
  • Younger member: Connect to your mentor to learn how to teach the session and get familiar with the content and materials needed for the session. By the time you come to rehearsal in the team meeting, I am expecting you are very familiar with content.

• Everyone: Update your Joint Engineering notebook with your best skills (Due Friday night midnight)
• Audrey: send engineering notebook entry evaluation comment on Saturday before team meeting, copy all parents. We will correct right away during team meeting, the team members can only go home after it is corrected. You will help track, they can only leave with your sign off on the engineering notebook entry
• Max: using PPT to layout the video plan (follow example of RCX video plan from coach)
• Abhishek: get the parents to rebuild the ramp (His dad helped building the ramp during the season)
